Langtang-Goshainkunda Trek

Langtang Region is the third most popular trekking region in Nepal. Langtang trekking, Langtang Gosainkunda trekking, Langtang valley trekking, Langtang and Helambu trekking, Helambu valley trekking are major trekking trails in this region which are situated in the north of Katmandu offers a multitude of trekking destinations. It is a narrow valley near by the border of Tibet.It is sandwiched between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. The main attractions from region are Langtang Lirung (7246m) dominates the valley to the north; Gang Chempo(6388m), Naya Kanga (5846m) lie to the south; and Dorje Lakpa(6966m) protects the East end of the Valley. This High and isolated region is inhabited by Tamangs whose religious practices, language and dress are much more similar to those of Tibet than to the traditions of their cousins in the Middle Hills. A visit to the Langtang valley offers an opportunity to explore Tamang villages, Sherpa village, to climb small peaks and to visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. Trek can be done to the Langtang by returning to Katmandu via the holy lakes of Gosainkunda at 4300m, or we can make a short trek from Dhunche to Gosainkunda. Thousands of Hindu pilgrims visit the lakes during a full moon festival in August. The lake is also sacred to Buddhists. Helambu, about 75 km north of Katmandu, is an area inhabited by Sherpas. You can include Helambu in a Langtang trek, either via Gosainkunda.

Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu (1350m), transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Sybru Bensi(1462m), O/N lodge
Day 03: Trek to Lama Hotel (2804m) via Bambo (2145m)
Day 04: Trek to Langtang Village (3520m)
Day 05: Trek to Kyanjing Gompa. (3825m)
Day 06: Acclimatization day (During the day we will hike to Kyanjin Ri(4756m) or Tserko Ri (4984m) or we can walk around Langshisha Valley or to the Langtang Glacier.
Day 07: Trek to Lama Hotel via Ghora Tabela (3048m
Day 08: Trek to Thulo Syabru (2581m)
Day 09: Trek to Chandanbari(3130m)
Day 10: Trek to Goshainkunda (4341m)
Day 11: Trek to Chandanbari Dhunche
Day 12: Trek to Dhunche (1966m), O/N in hotel.
Day 13: Drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel,
Day 14: Free/Sightseeing day in Kathmandu, O/N in hotel.
Day 15: Final departure from Kathmandu for your further destination.
